RPG CROWDFUNDING NEWS – Fallen London, The Magnus Archives RPG, Trollgod’s Skull…

I have another of Midnight Tower’s mystery adventures. That one is lower level than the “omg, they’re just going to cast Circle of Truth” level that people always get upset about with mysteries.

It’s well-executed although not the most groundbreaking: You have an initial light combat encounter, you arrive at the location that has some nice battlemaps that remind me of a Clue board (probably not a coincidence), you get to meet the NPCs, the inciting event occurs, the PCs interview the NPCs, then they confront the culprit and it resolves with combat or not, depending on how the PCs take things.

That said, it’s much more competently executed than many other published adventures (including by much bigger companies), so I’d generally recommend their adventures, if the very specific themes (Agatha Christie or Jane Austen or Sherlock Holmes, etc.) works for you.
