Highly recommended, eagerly awaiting the next one. Black Light Kills offers some thrilling moments and some nice jump scares (even if the audio seems inadequate at times). A simple and solid narrative for an hour. It’s a copy/paste (without the action) of Silent Hill Homecoming. You even see Shepherd’s name on a note at the beginning of the game. The story is similar (replace the little brother with the little sister), and even most of the creatures… Playtime about an hour, there are no chapters to choose from or saves. Game has to be beat in one sitting. There are two different endings and if you’d like both you need to play it twice.

A nice little game that lasts about an hour. However, it would have been nice to specify in the description that it was a cheap “copy” of Silent Hill: Homecoming, because the copy is so blatant that it can no longer be called simple inspiration, and I admit that this aspect bothers me quite a bit. Aside from that, a checkpoint at the end would have been nice to access the second ending without having to redo everything. The gameplay here is completely linear, and there’s no point in replaying the entire game. There’s no combat either; it’s all about exploration and storytelling, and I personally like that. The level design is as minimalist as possible, and you pass through a lot of empty corridors. Some text is written too small on the notes or is difficult to read because the background is too bright. We can pay homage to these games that many of us loved while still offering our own story rather than plagiarizing the original game so extensively in terms of the story and the scenes encountered. There was a couple times where it felt I was being chased after but nothing. Some cheap jump scares and they’re loud too, a little cliche in their placing but overall good horror game for the price. No bugs and game runs smoothly.

It’s a great game, it was developed by one person. Let’s talk about the advantages first. As a 13-yuan game, it at least has everything, good modeling, dubbing, dark environment, scary sound effects, blood writing, jumping faces, ghost screams, whispers, it is relatively complete, and I was still quite nervous when playing. The game is relatively linear, and basically you won’t go back, which is relatively friendly to players with poor directions (I remember being chased everywhere when playing paper dolls before). Then there is no chase, so you don’t have to be afraid if you are not good at it. The puzzle is very simple, basically looking for room cards, keys, simple passwords, not very stuck, you can play horror games without the torture of puzzles.
