Freedom Wars Remastered gets its first patch to fix crashing and performance iss…


Freedom Wars Remastered has gotten its first post-launch patch to fix some of the crashing and performance issues across platforms following its launch earlier this month on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).

The update is now live across all platforms with specific fixes for crashing during certain situations, a Nintendo Switch-specific fix for crashing when using the A-4 accessory voice in JP voice mode, and most notably a Windows 11-related fix to address performance and game freezing for those running the 24H2 update.

Fixed bugs:

PS5/PS4/Nintendo Switch/Steam:

  • The game crashing during certain operations.

Nintendo Switch

  • The game crashing when you choose Accessory voice “A-4” when in JP voice mode.

Steam:

  • Frame rate drops or game freezes when using Windows 11 version “24H2”
  • The game stuck on loading screen after launching the game.
  • The game not saving properly, resulting in progress rewind.

*Attention to Steam users:

If you have made any changes to the installed files for the game in order to avoid any problems, please make sure to return the folder to its original state before applying the update, as the update may not be applied correctly. If the situation does not improve after the update, please try uninstalling and re-installing the game.
