All of them are slated to appear for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, with a few still retaining support for PlayStation 4. Most of the titles shown are also tentative project codes, with the full official titles yet to be announced.

As a side note, it may be perplexing for some to see a complete lack of PC releases, considering the recent trends. However, this is because the NIS America branch is usually the one that handles the PC ports, along with the global English releases.

You can read more about the new game projects after the jump right below:

Curse

One of the most relevant titles revealed for us is the dark dungeon RPG codenamed Curse, which will be available for PS5, PS4, and Switch in 2025.

The player will assume the role of an adventurer who will be tasked to rescue a town surrounded by curses while exploring dungeons with secret treasures. But even inside the dungeons, the player can also get inflicted by curses from the likes of enemy attacks and treasure box traps.

However, while the curses obviously come with debuffs for the player, there will also be high-risk, high-reward situations where they can return to the town while retaining the curses to have those purified, and in turn making the protagonist grow much stronger.

Kyouran

The other closely relevant project we have seen is codenamed Kyouran (Misfortunate Chaos), which will be an action RPG for PS5 and Switch in 2026. This one also has the most profound relation to the Disgaea series, as the team will include Takehito Harada as the character designer and Tenpei Sato as the composer. Shunsuke Minowa, who had also worked in Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, will be the person in charge of the game’s development team.

The Disgaea references do not stop there, as the gameplay systems for this project will also have elements from the company’s flagship series, which include four-digit levels and nine-digit damages. The player will become a mercenary tasked to beat multiple monsters—while befriending some of them in the process—with a gigantic boss lying in wait at the end of each stage. The befriended monsters can also be utilized as additional weapons by the protagonist.

Shinigami Hime

Even though the following title is not completely an RPG, it is still very closely related to two titles we have covered before: The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and The Cruel King and the Great Hero. The project codenamed Shinigami Hime (Death Goddess Princess) is slated to become an action adventure game for PS5 and Switch in 2026.

However, the artworks below may totally bring the aforementioned two titles to mind. This is exactly because Sayaka Oda, who worked on both games, is also the character designer for this new project. In addition, Kento Jobana is working on the story for Shinigami Hime, which will revolve around a library collecting picture books that feature the transformations of multiple girls who got overwhelmed by traumas.
